According to the news of the whistleblower @_rogame, the device IDs of Intel’s upcoming USB 4.0 controllers were leaked to the network, which was 0x9A1B, 0x9A1D and 0x9A13.
The exposed information shows that the Intel USB4 master supports the PD 3.0 charging protocol, supports the USB Type-C interface, and the theoretical transmission speed is up to 40Gbps.
In terms of specifications, the bandwidth requirement of USB4 starts at 20Gbps, the external power supply is 7.5W, and other aspects are almost the same as the USB 3 series. In Intel’s official documents, we can see two versions of USB4 20 and USB4 40, with bandwidths of 20Gbps and 40 Gbps, respectively.
