Windows 10 is a series of operating systems produced by the American multinational technology company Microsoft and released as part of its Windows NT family of operating systems.

Windows 10 was released to consumers on the 29th of July 2015 as the successor to Windows 9. This latest version of the Windows operating system introduced what the company called “universal apps”, apps that are developed to work on smartphones, personal computers, video game consoles, and HoloLens.

For several months now, Microsoft has been working on developing a new UI for Windows 10 Start Menu, with rumors suggesting that the giant will put Live Tiles aside and move on to a simpler feature, that of basic icons. The rumors did not fall out, however, Microsoft will offer Live Tiles to developers and users and at the same time, it will be possible to switch to basic icons.

In Windows Insider Webcast, the design team presented a concept of the Start Menu that is reminiscent of the old ones, and today the Office 365 team published a series of wallpapers of Windows 10 which show the same design in the Start Menu. The photo reveals that the Live Tiles area better integrates Dark or Light mode with Microsoft claiming that the Start Menu will no longer have blocks that cannot be changed color. Finally, the list of applications on the left does not include a variety of colors.
