Microsoft Windows 10 Dev Preview Build 20226 released with updated content

Windows 10

Windows 10

On October 03, Microsoft has announced the release of the Windows 10 preview build 20226 system update. This update is for the Dev channel.

Added function to store operating status monitoring to protect user data:

Microsoft said that it is more expensive to try to restore data after a drive fails. The storage health monitoring function is designed to detect hardware abnormalities in NVMe SSDs and notify users to take action. It is strongly recommended that users back up their data immediately after receiving the notification. Click the notification or navigate to the drive properties page in “Storage Settings” (Settings-System-Storage-Manage Disks and Volumes-Properties), additional details will be provided.

Other updates:

New “phone settings” experience, seamless device management within the app

The Your Phone team announced that in the new settings interface, users can now easily connect new devices, delete old devices, and switch between active devices within the app. Your Phone has also made visual improvements to the display device list. Now, each device can be identified on its own device card with the user’s personally synchronized wallpaper. The new user experience will gradually be rolled out to Insiders users, so it may take a while to show up in the Your Phone app. Microsoft said, please try to use this feature, and then provide comments under the settings-help and feedback-send feedback in the app.

Developer update:

The Windows SDK is now continuously delivered on the Dev channel. Whenever a new OS version is released to the Dev channel, the corresponding SDK will also be released. Users can install the latest Insider SDK from aka.ms/InsiderSDK at any time.
