The Snapdragon 730G SoC may have been a good solution for mid-range device makers such as the Pixel 4a, Poco X2, and Mi Note 10 Pro, but Qualcomm has launched a new, upgraded version of this SoC, which still promises better performance.
Snapdragon 732G offers the following performance enhancements over Snapdragon 730G:
- Qualcomm® Kryo™ 470 CPU Prime core clock speed at up to 2.3 GHz (compared to 2.2 GHz)
- Bolstered Qualcomm® Adreno™ 618 GPU offers 15% improvement in graphics rendering
The new SoC, called the Snapdragon 732G, features two Kryo 470 cores clocked at 2.3GHz, as opposed to the 730 clocked at 2.2GHz, and offers the same Adreno 618 GPU with 15% better performance.
Another difference between the two models is in the charging, as the 732G now supports the QuickCharge 4+ standard.
In addition to the two performance cores, we see six low-power Kryo 470 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, with the entire chip being made with the 8nm method.
It also offers Bluetooth 5.1 with support for aptX Adaptive and TrueWireless Stereo Plus, while Snapdragon Elite Gaming brings HDR rendering and Vulkan 1.1 to the middle class.
