WhatsApp users in India will no longer be able to post video statuses longer than 15 seconds. Facebook hasn’t officially explained the move, but according to WhatsApp fan site WABetainfo, the move is to “reduce server infrastructure traffic.” The website also claims that lowering the limits is not permanent. India eases the epidemic, India ’s WhatsApp users are likely to revert to the previous 30-second limit, which was enforced due to the COVID-19 pandemic virus.
Interestingly, the new 15-second video status cap applies only to India. However, if you live in India, you can still upload a video slightly longer than 15 seconds, but if you plan to upload a 30-second video, you must divide the video into two 15-second video sections. If it takes more than 30 seconds, you need to break it down again.
