The upcoming iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro series phones are expected to be the biggest version changes of Apple’s iPhone ever. Experts believe its sales may reach record highs. We still have about 6 months to wait before Apple finally completes its new iPhone 12 lineup.
On Thursday, Max Weinbach of Xda developer revealed more details of the iPhone 12 in a YouTube video. According to Weinbach, Apple is working on some huge camera upgrades that include a 64-megapixel main rear camera sensor and enhanced night mode, a feature that will work on all rear camera sensors, not just the main sensor.
The leaker also claims that in addition to the three main camera sensors, the Apple iPhone 12 Pro will have an improved zoom function and a new time-of-flight (ToF) sensor. Finally, it is reported that Apple is also developing a new macro mode to provide better close-up photos, and another HDR mode temporarily called “Smart XDR”.
Weinbach also revealed other details, such as the 4400mAh battery in the iPhone 12 Pro Max, and reiterated that the new iPhone 12 models will use a display with a 120Hz refresh rate. At present, companies including Huawei, Google, and Samsung have made significant investments in mobile camera technology. Until last year, they all surpassed Apple in terms of camera quality. The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max have leveled the playing field to some extent, but there are already several new phones on the market that surpass Apple’s iPhone 11 series camera quality.
