After the release of the macOS 12.1 developer preview Beta4 today, some users on Reddit said that they no longer encounter the “tap to click” problem.
“Tap to tap” can be enabled in Trackpad> Cursor and Tap under System Preferences , allowing users to tap with one finger to tap.
The official version of macOS 12.1 is expected to be released before the end of the year.
