WhatsApp carrying with a huge data of its users worldwide comes to the main decision for smartphones working below Android 4.0.3 and iOS 9. WhatsApp stopped working for some smartphones starting November 1, 2021.
The reason for the termination of services on these smartphones is that the instant messaging app will no longer support older versions of Android and iOS to ensure that the security of the app and the privacy of users are maintained.
The Android and iOS users can check the software version they are using by going to the mobile phone settings. The operating system that will not support the app is Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, iOS 9, and KaiOS 2.5.0.
