Huawei P50: Will be released with Snapdragon 875, Mate 40 will come with two chips

The TSMC officially announced days ago that he has to take orders from Huawei from May 15 where he was forced to follow the US government instructions that banned collaborations with the Chinese juggernaut. This may force Huawei to follow a different strategy similar to that of Samsung which incorporates different SoCs in its smartphones depending on the country in which it will be released.

The new US regulations will not affect Huawei’s previous orders, however, the company will not be able to place new orders from TSMC. So the Mate 40 will have the Kirin 1020 which is based on the 5nm process and according to information Huawei has ordered for SoC of the order of 8 million while the sales of the Mate series exceed 10 million pieces. This simply means that the Mate 40 will be released with the Kirin 1020 and another SoC which we do not know if it will belong to Samsung or MediaTek.

According to previous reports, Qualcomm wants to work with the Chinese giant, but this has not been confirmed yet. In this case, we will see the Huawei P50 series with Snapdragon chipset such as the Snapdragon 875.
