Microsoft’s free system utility suite called PowerToys is resurrected from the Windows XP era and introduced in May 2019 in Windows 10. It can be used for advanced users to adjust and streamline Windows operations to increase efficiency. Used through the Windows 10 shell, while allowing users to customize individual workflows.
For many Windows users, PowerToys can be said to be similar to a game modification.
Microsoft is adding new features to the next version of its new PowerToys for Windows 10. In its latest preview version 0.16, Microsoft hopes to add the ImageResizer tool to the collection.
ImageResizer was once part of the original PowerToys collection and allowed users to resize multiple images at the same time, such as useful when uploading or emailing.
Windows 10 free utility set PowerToys 0.15.1 was released. According to the release notes, a patch appeared several hours after the initial release of PowerToys v0.15.0, and the PowerToys version rose to 0.15.1. PowerToys users can now look forward to more than 100 resolved issues and a great update notification system to “let you know that there are new versions inside PowerToys”.
