Since March 2017, when its release began, PUBG has been loved and hated as few games. The release of the first final release in December of the same year marked the beginning of many problems, some of which were not even in beta.
The title was released on the Xbox One the same month, but the result was at least annoying, with the not-so-strong hardware of the original Xbox One seemingly unable to lift such an unoptimized title. The arrival of the Xbox One X made things better, with the game finally being released in late 2018 for the PlayStation 4, followed by the mobile and lite versions.
Despite this journey full of ups and downs, PUBG Corporation officially announced that the title has reached sales of 70 million units. This number reflects the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions, but we do not know if the company also counts the free distribution of the title through the Xbox Game Pass.
The above number is quite impressive, considering that the title has been on the market for only three years. The last official numbers that the company had published were in June 2018, where it announced sales of 50 million units. The title continues to be one of the most popular battle royale titles on the market.
