As we expected, Unpacked 2020 is a fact, with the company presenting a variety of devices. One of them is the flagship of Samsung tablets, the Galaxy Tab S7+, which wants to offer the best portable experience but also to meet those who are looking for a small laptop.
Large screen and performance for demanding users
The Galaxy Tab S7+ comes with a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display, with WQXGA resolution (2800 × 1752) and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Thanks to the small perimeter bezels for tablets
The screen-to-body ratio reaches 85%, while it has received Eye Care certification from SGS. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the screen, with the 8MP selfie camera complementing the front of the device.
Inside the device is the octa-core Snapdragon 865+ processor, with one core at 3.09GHz, three performance cores at 2.4GHz, and four low-power cores at 1.8GHz.
The processor comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage (up to 1TB using MicroSD). The battery of the device is 10,090mAh and supports fast-charging up to 45W, although the box includes a 15W charger.
Lighter, smaller and with new features
The S Pen comes redesigned, both internally and externally, to give the experience of writing with a real pen. This is thanks to the low latency of the new S Pen, in combination with the analog tip, while the 0.35mAh battery charges in just 12 to 13 minutes.
The S Pen charges and is stored on the back of the device, under the dual-camera system, with a 13MP main sensor with Auto Focus and a 5MP wide-angle lens with Fixed Focus.
The size of the device is 285x185x5.7 mm, with a weight of up to 575 grams. Despite its small thickness, the Galaxy Tab S7+ offers four speakers for stereo sound, with Dolby Atmos support.
Combined with the enhanced Book Cover keyboard, the Galaxy Tab S7+ can be turned into a full-fledged laptop, thanks to the company’s DeX technology and new OneUI 2.5 features, offering a user experience close to that of a regular Windows or ChromeOS PC.
The Galaxy Tab S7+ will be released in three colors, Black, Light Gray, and Pink, while the corresponding POGO cases of the company will be released in the same colors.
