As a major aspect of the unofficial World Emoji Day, Apple needed to give us a sample of the upcoming emojis coming to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS in 2020. Together, the organization will bring 55 new gender characters and skin color varieties, just as and new sexual orientation free emoji for existing sex explicit emoticon.
The new emoji that will come with the Emoji 13 update are:
- Faces – Smiling face with a tear, Disguised face
- People – Ninja, Man in a tuxedo, Woman in a tuxedo, Man in bridal veil, Man in bridal veil, Woman feeding baby, Man feeding baby, Man feeding baby, Santa Claus without sex, People hugging
- Parts of the body – Pinched fingers, Normal Heart, Lungs
- Animals – Black Cat, Bison, Mammoth, Beaver, Polar Bear, Dodo, Seals, Beetle, Cockroach, Fly, Worm
- Food – Cranberries, Olives, Peppers, Pie, Fondue, Bubble Tea
- Household – Potted Plant, Teapot, Pinata, Magic Wand, Insert Dolls, Sewing Needle, Mirror, Window, Piston, Mouse Trap, Bucket, Toothbrush
- Miscellaneous – Feather, Stone, Wood, Roller skate, Knot, Coin, Boomerang, Screwdriver, Carpentry saw, Hook, Ladder, Elevator, Tombstone, Locker, Transgender Symbol, Transgender Flag
- Clothing – Thong sandals, Military helmet
- Musical instruments – Accordion, Long drum
The above will be available with Emoji update 13, logically with the advent of iOS 14. The next upgrade will be delayed at least six months longer, so we expect the new emoji from 2022.
