Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and back up the current system which is functions often unsupported by stock recovery images. It is, therefore, often installed when flashing, installing, or rooting Android devices, although it isn’t dependent on a device being rooted prior to installation.
Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) ROM is now available for Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ and Galaxy Z Fold 2. Currently, the set of recovery images has been successfully booted on the Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G (SM-T976B) and Galaxy Z Fold 2 (SM-F916B). Users can download the TWRP from the link given below.
Download The TWRP:
Conditions of TWRP Installation:
- A model with an unlockable bootloader,
- The US versions not suitable for modding because it is locked,
- Installing a third-party binary will permanently trip Knox
- Permanently lose access to Samsung Pay and security features such as Secure Folder
You’ll need to flash a dummy vbmeta.img in addition to the recovery image to properly boot TWRP on your device.
According to the developer:
“The custom recovery doesn’t support Samsung’s proprietary file-based encryption (FBE). If you disable the auto-encryption routine and subsequently format the data partition, you should be able to perform data backup/restore using TWRP. Moreover, MTP is broken in these ports, but you can disable MTP in TWRP Mount settings and use ADB to push files from the computer to the device (or vice-versa).”
