YouTube ads are one of the main sources of revenue for the platform and its creators, who publish content on it. However, some creators overdo it by adding too many ads to their videos.

Block ads with a little trick
Reddit unicorn4sale has discovered a way to block YouTube ads without the use of additional or special tools and settings. In particular, its method simply requires you to intervene in the video URL.
If you don’t want to see ads, you can just add a dot between “youtube.com” and the first “/”. That is if the URL of the video is “youtube.com/watch?v=KODIKOS” you add the dot and do so “youtube.com./watch?v=KODIKOS”.
Once you’ve made that change, the YouTube page refreshes you, temporarily disconnects you from your account, and no longer displays any ads at all.
Again, advertising is an important source of revenue even for Greek creators. Especially for small channels that initially have no sponsors or other sources of revenue. So, think twice before using the above method.
