According to the research report from Strategy Analytics pointed out that the global smart speaker sales in 2019 reached 146.9 million units, a record high, an increase of 70% over 2018.
Amazon is in the first place with a total of 38.5 million units sold, but its market share dropped from 33.7% in 2018 to 26.2%. Google is in second place. In 2019, it sold just 30 million units in total, with a market share of 20.3%, a slight decrease from 25.9% in 2018.
In Q4 2019, global smart speaker sales also reached a record high, totaling 55.7 million units. Among them, Amazon shipped 15.8 million units, an increase of 16% year-on-year, and a market share of 28.3%; the gap between Google and Amazon further narrowed, and Q1 quarter sold 13.9 million units, an increase of 20% year-on-year.
Chinese manufacturers occupy the 3rd, 4th, and 5th places. Among them, Baidu Q4 shipments were 5.9 million units, a surge of 171% year-on-year, and the market share reached double digits. An increase of 94%; Xiaomi ranked fifth, sold 4.7 million units, and the growth rate reached 167%.
