According to techdows reports, users reported that after upgrading Safari 14, the Edge browser on macOS Catalina had a crash problem, and Error Code: 6 was raised. Microsoft has confirmed this issue and stated that it is being resolved. At the same time, there is a quick solution to make Edge work on Mac again.
According to user feedback, whenever a user opens a page such as a new tab page, the browser containing the extension will crash and display the error page “There is a problem with this page, please try again later”.At the same time, a page with error code 6 will appear. It is recommended to open a new tab or refresh the page to solve the problem. Even after the user reinstalled Edge, the problem still exists.
