Samsung has recently launched its fifth generation of foldable devices the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 alongside the new Galaxy Tab S9 Series tablets and Galaxy Watch 6 smartwatches. Now, in terms of software updates the South Korean tech giant is a little late. Yes, you read that right, Samsung has now started rolling out its first August 2023 security software update to the Galaxy S20 FE smartphone.
Samsung August 2023 security update is now available
According to the information, the August 2023 security software update for the Galaxy S20 FE is rolling out with the build number G780GXXS6EWG9. Please note that the official August 2023 security bulletin has yet to be unveiled.
With this update, the smartphone will get improved privacy and security. Also, in the coming weeks, several Galaxy smartphones including Galaxy S Series like Galaxy S23 Series, Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy S21 Series, A Series, M Series, Fold Series and tablets will get the August 2023 security update.
In order to install the latest firmware update on your device, you need to check for the new update. You can do that by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and Install.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Update History
The Galaxy S20 FE’s 4G version was officially launched back in 2020 with Snapdragon 865 processor and Android 10 onboard. The South Korean tech giant then released a number of firmware updates to the device and it received the Android 11 update by the end of 2020 and the Android 12 update in the fourth quarter of 2021. It also received the Android 13 update, marking as the last major firmware update.
